From serving as a senator during my first semester while majoring in Fashion Design, through rebuilding the Senate, introducing the SGA Cabinet position of Officer of Student Advocacy, building my own major, and now being your Student Government President, my time at Mount Mary University has been a rollercoaster of new experiences, life lessons, and meeting so many amazing people. You’ve seen me through multiple hair colors and haircuts, multiple phases of life, and multiple aspects of Campus Life, and I hope that you continue to expect and look forward to seeing the best of what I can offer through whatever changes are coming next.

It is an honor and privilege to be lifted into this position only halfway through my time, and I intend to continue to deliver and improve upon the promises I’ve been making since the beginning for the entirety of my junior year and hopefully throughout my senior year.

Things you can look forward to with me as your President include but shouldn’t be limited to bringing our Student Government to the most active and present Organization it has ever been. From installing Little Free Libraries for fiction and textbooks, bringing a cleaning resources closet to pair with our food resources closet, and taking your feedback about the things most important to YOU to make meaningful differences on campus, I am here for you to make your life just a bit easier in these sometimes unpredictable years as a college student in today’s day and age.

As returning students may know, at the end of last semester we were finally able to get the cafeteria food and service provider reviewed after hearing from you that this was something you needed to be heard about and communicating your concerns and needs to the university administration. This is the version of Student Government you can expect, the one that hears your voices and makes sure they are heard and acted upon when possible.

Who I am

My story so far…

As someone who has always had a passion for the creative arts, I've spent most of my life searching for ways to spread that passion to others and further my own. From my first job in a pottery studio, where I taught others new skills and helped them shape their creative visions, to learning how to help people feel and be their best as a cosmetology student at The Aveda Institute, I've always been drawn to work that sits at the intersection of craft and connection and it's led me to some amazing places and on life changing side-quests.

That thread is what eventually led me to storytelling, the connection spanning cultures and ages that turns an group of people into a community. It's also what led me to move away from my original major in Fashion Design to design my own major, Narrative and Storytelling Studies, at Mount Mary University. I've come to believe that creativity isn't really about the medium, it's about understanding people well enough to make them feel seen, and I've chased that understanding across science, the humanities, and everywhere in between.

Along the way, I've founded and led multiple clubs and accepted a nomination for Student Government President when my peers called on me to lead, because I love building spaces where people get to grow together, not just alongside each other. Whether I'm behind a pottery wheel, working on my manuscripts, having in depth theological discussions, or working on a campaign, the goal has stayed the same: create something, and lift up the people around me while I do it. I'm excited to keep building that bridge between creativity and connection, in storytelling and wherever this path leads next.
